The Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC®), together with the European Space Agency (ESA), and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) organized the Earth Observation (EO) Cloud Processing Hackathon. This Hackathon provided a opportunity for stakeholders to experiment with the latest results from Testbed-13 in the context of ESA’s Earth Observation (EO) Exploitation Platforms.

The results of the hackathon are sumarised in the engineering report OGC Earth Observation Exploitation Platform Hackathon 2018 Engineering Report.

During the Demonstration Meeting, we had the opportunity to visit the ESA Operations Centre in Darmstadt (Germany), including the Main Control Room.

Acknowledgement: the participation to the hackathon was made possible by the European Space Agency and by the West University of Timișoara and the H2020 Project Supercomputing Expertise for SmAll and Medium Enterprise Network.
